This is a path through selected passages, not every verse. The 391 sessions span all 39 books of the Protestant Old Testament, including narrative, wisdom, poetry, prophecy, and selected laws. It leaves out many genealogies and name lists, along with much of the detail about sacrifices, ritual purity, priestly service, and sanctuary construction. Brief lists and ritual passages that support the context remain. Finishing means completing the selected readings across every book.

Yes. Every session’s passage text is included in the app in the public domain World English Bible (WEB). You only need an internet connection if you choose to compare a passage in another translation online.

There are no missed days, streaks, or catch-up assignments. Return whenever you can. If you’ve already started elsewhere, choose a starting point to set your next reading without marking earlier sessions complete.

Your reflections, bookmarks, and reading progress are stored on your device. There is no automatic cloud sync and OT Finisher does not send your journey to an OT Finisher server. You can export a backup to keep a copy or move your journey to another device. On Android, you can optionally choose a folder for seven daily snapshots, either readable JSON files or password-protected backup files. If that folder is cloud-backed, the selected storage provider receives those files under its own privacy policy. A forgotten backup password cannot be recovered. Optional analytics requires your consent and excludes reading and reflection content.
